Rittal, world leader supplier for industrial enclosures and ICT infrastructure applications, introduces a new line of computer terminals as Point of Sales- and Point of Information- marketing. The new Crea-Line terminal is a 100% Belgian product. Designed in Belgium, the mini PC, 17” TFT-LCD monitor with integrated speakers, keyboard, mouse, webcam and all necessary communication appliances (Ethernet, USB, WiFi adaptor) are all nicely hidden into a nice, sexy and modern kiosk. They facilitate the introduction of the newest interactive marketing applications. Cerix, Belgium’s number 1 in ICT rental solutions has already adopted the kiosks into their rental offer.
Ingenious for visitors and participants at events
“Computer monitors are more and more often used for helping visitors to find right information from the organizer. But the installation and connexion of computers are complex and time consuming for really being creative with the environment in which the computer are exposed, according Rudi Vermeulen, business development manager at Rittal. “That is exactly what inspired us developing a new generation of attractive terminals with the right on-board technology. Those terminals are prefect to register visitors, exhibitors and other profiles at the entrance of fairs and other professional events or to setup a cyber café or showing product information.”
The newest Rittal terminals are designed and produced in Belgium. Rittal has gained a long track of experience into interactive terminals for industrial or open-air areas, like the city kiosks. Those terminals are of course very solid as they are made out of sheet steel, Inox and aluminium and are all provided with a computer compartment beneath or in the back. They resulted into more expensive and thus less attractive for marketing applications. The Crea-Lines are built with the same know-how but are made out of Plexiglass, which are available into several trendy colours. The small built-in mini computer enhances a smooth configuration to load Powerpoint animations or any other software as well as connecting to a wireless network. Last but not least, the user can interact with the terminal thanks to a keyboard, a 17” monitor and a webcam.
Cerix: easy installation of complex application
Thanks to the Crea-Line exhibitors and professional congress organizers will be able to save costs on expensive desks designed by stand builders. A desk on a booth is often made out of MDF with a cupboard where you can hide the computer and where the monitor rests on the tabletop. The cables run through a special made hole through the tabletop. “All cables are neatly hidden into the Crea-Line, so you just do not bother about any cable. Besides, the terminals offer maximum connectivity,” says Tally Salzman, Key Account Manager at Cerix. “Everyone knows that theft on events is a big concern to every organizer. The great advantage of the Crea-Line is that it will be very difficult to just runaway with it as with a laptop or a monitor. Rittal’s Crea-Lines are elegant, easily installed and an excellent added-value to our rental offer and our new High Tech solutions for events.”
“This new piece of hardware represents lots of new possibilities for more complex and interactive applications”, accords Tally Salzman. “Just imagine being able to register at the entrance on a Crea-Line kiosk where your picture is being taken by the webcam and where you are being provided with an RFID tag. It enhances a higher lever of access control as well as efficient networking possibilities between the participants (which is the major purpose on congresses!).”
Cerix has recently rented 15 Crea-Lines for self registration kiosks at the 33rd International Telindus Symposium. Cerix received lots of positive comments from the organizers and the participants.
